The story of NORA didn’t begin in a tech pitch or smartwatch trend. It started in a quiet living room, where ông Tư — a retired teacher — stared at the wall clock, waiting for a phone call that never came. His granddaughter, Vy, had meant to call. She just forgot. Again.
That evening, she cried softly, blaming herself. Then a thought came:
“What if time itself could help us remember each other?”
That night, Vy began sketching the idea for NORA — not just a watch, but a gentle companion for the elderly, carrying reminders, kind words, and connection — all on the wrist.
More than minutes. Moments that matter.
Vy partnered with a small team: a doctor specializing in geriatric care, and an industrial designer who had lost his own grandma recently. Together, they created a lightweight, easy-to-read, no-swipe-needed watch — with soft daily reminders:
“Time to take your 3 PM medicine, Grandpa.”
“Today is Linh’s birthday — don’t forget to smile.”
“You are loved. Always.”
After release, a woman wrote to us:
“My mother used to feel forgotten. Now, when the watch says ‘Hi Mom, I love you,’ from me — she tears up and says: ‘She didn’t forget.’”
That’s when we knew — NORA wasn’t about timekeeping. It was about heartkeeping.
